Heart of the Virgin

Spider Mary was inspired by the Virgin Mary and the Dia de los Muertos celebrations of Mexico.

Nik Cæsar's own words about Spider Mary:
"Spider Lady Mary, the patron Saint of Spiders. She is strongly designed after The Virgin of Guadalupe only dangerous. I had met Clive Barker a long time ago at a horror convention and he was talking about his Hellraiser series and how he felt that everything was uneven. The cenobites were unchallenged and he wanted to create a series of characters polar opposite of the demonic Pinhead, Chatterer, and so on. This is what I built on that theory. I don't believe Saints, Angels or any deit[ies] should be passive."
